Resources for Businesses

The Resources for Businesses section will evolve as we receive input from you and your fellow business owners on what information you need most to make your business operations more sustainable! For general information on sustainability issues, please refer to the Resources for Everyone section.

If you have an idea, a question or a suggestion, please contact Brandi de Garmeaux, the Town's Sustainability and Resource Efficiency Coordinator, directly at (650) 851-1700 ext. 222.

What We're Working on Now
In January 2009, the Town of Portola Valley joined the San Mateo County Green Business Program. We are in the process of certifying the Town Hall as a Green Business. Once we understand the process, we will reach out to the business community and encourage local businesses to join the Green Business Program. Joining the Green Business Program will assist you with steps to make your operations more sustainable and enable you to stand above the crowd as you market your business as a Green Business!
