Message from Fire Marshal via SMC Alert - Red Flag Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a "Red Flag Warning" covering the western hills portion of the Woodside Fire Protection District. The warning will be in effect from November 10, 10:00 PM PST until November 11, 04:00 PM PST. A red flag warning is a forecast warning issued by the US National Weather Service to inform area firefighters and land management agencies that conditions are ideal for wildland fire combustion, and rapid spread.
The Woodside Fire Protection District has requested that San Mateo County Parks close Huddard and Wunderlich Parks for the weekend. Please use extreme caution during all outdoor activities. Air Quality alerts have already been issued for all San Mateo County. If you see something that looks like it could be a dangerous fire safety issue in your neighborhood please call 911.
