Now Hiring: Planning & Building Assistant

Ideal candidate has strong customer-service and multi-tasking skills. The Assistant performs a variety of clerical and customer service duties supporting the Department’s front counter, including: over-the-counter permits; receive and route plans and information for building, planning and engineering-related permits; schedule building and engineering inspections; calculate, receive and process fees; maintain files for building, planning and engineering; process and maintain business license renewals; and assist with mailing and posting of notices for regular and special meetings, public hearings and public bids and bid openings.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have education equivalent to completion of the 12th grade; office/front counter and or customer service experience is desirable.
