Volunteers Needed for New Ad-Hoc Water Conservation Task Force
DEADLINE EXTENDED to Tuesday, March 25th at 5:00 pm
The Portola Valley Town Council is accepting letters of interest from town residents willing to serve on a new Ad-Hoc Task Force (5 to 9 members) to study the pressing issue of water conservation in Portola Valley.
The Town encourages residents to review the Task Force Charter, as well as the Town's Committee Handbook to become familiar with the Town's meeting procedures, the Brown Act and the overall Town organization. Also, please consider the time commitment required to participate on this important task force, which will likely be a minimum of six hours per month on task-force related activities for six-month period. Meetings will occur during business hours. If you have special expertise, but your time commitments prevent you from volunteering as a member, please indicate in your letter of interest if you would be interested in serving in an advisory role to the Task Force.
Town residents interested in serving on the Task Force may submit a letter of interest to the Town Council via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to (650) 851-4677. Please submit letters of interest by Tuesday, March 25th at 5:00 pm. Interviews are tentatively scheduled to occur at the next regularly scheduled Town Council meeting on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 7:30 pm in the Historic Schoolhouse at 765 Portola Road.
Questions regarding the Task Force may be directed via email to Sustainability & Special Projects Manager, Brandi de Garmeaux, or telephone at (650) 851-1700 ext. 222.
