UPDATE 2/3/12: According to West Bay Sanitary District and the Town's project inspector, the sewer main project should be completed by the end of today (February 2nd), with the exception of minor clean up and striping.
Final road paving started yesterday and should be finished today. The Town's inspector is verifying that the road is being restored correctly and it should be smooth for travel by the end of today. Minor clean up will occur on Monday, February 6th, which should not affect traffic. Striping will occur after clean up is completed.
We know that, due to a number of factors, the timeline for this project has extended beyond the original estimate. Thank you for your patience with the impacts that have resulted from this important sewer upgrade project.
UPDATE 1/31/12: As part of the sewer main upgrade project, West Bay Sanitary crews will be working tonight (January 31) from 11pm to 7am. The work involves tying the new sewer line into the existing line and pump station facilities. This portion of the work is best done at night as it is the low-flow period for sewer. Service should not be affected, and final street paving is expected to begin late this week. Any questions can be directed to West Bay Sanitary at 650-321-0384.
West Bay Sanitary District has indicated to the Town that the majority of the work has been completed on the sewer upgrade project. However, a week delay has occurred due to unforeseen circumstances and scheduling to connect the system with the existing sewer line. West Bay’s constractors will continue work next week, and anticipate finishing the project in 2-3 weeks (weather permitting). The Town continues to inspect the project.
If there are any additional questions, please contact Bill Kitijima at West Bay Sanitary District at 650-321-0384.
