A presentation by Matteo Garbelotto, Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at U.C. Berkeley, will be held on Thursday, October 3rd at 7:00 pm to inform the community of the results of the Sudden Oak Death (SOD) "Blitz" in 2013 (collection of data by citizens in May of this year). Light refreshments provided and stop by the Farmers' Market before the presentation for a snack and fresh produce (every Thursday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm).

Please note that a SOD Management Training will be offered the following Saturday, October 5th at 1:00 pm. This meeting will focus on the biology of SOD and what to do to control the disease. There have been big changes in recommended treatments, and the meeting will present these new recommendations. Additionally, there will be training on how to use a new mobile app - SODMAP!

**Both events will be held in the Community Hall at the Portola Valley Town Center, 765 Portola Road.
