Street Resurfacing – Slurry Seal Exact Dates Available
For those who received a notice from the Town concerning street resurfacing on your street, the exact dates of the slurry seal are available via this link on the Town’s website: http://www.portolavalley.net/for-residents/public-works/2018-portola-road-resurfacing-project
Please be aware, on the date scheduled for your street to be slurry sealed, the street will be completely closed and you will have no access (coming or going) until it is cured (typically five to six hours from application). Please plan and park your car accordingly.
* CHIPPER PROGRAM & GARBAGE PICKUP: Don't worry if your slurry seal date is the same as your chipper date. The Town's Public Works Department has coordinated with Woodside Fire to do the chipping first thing in the morning, before the slurry seal. If individual areas are delayed due to workload, they will be rescheduled for the following week. Brush should be placed off the road surface. Garbage pickup will also run as scheduled except for Mapache Ct., Larguita Ln. and Paloma Rd., which will be picked up first thing in the morning at 8:00 am.
We are aware that there will be residents who are inconvenienced by the street resurfacing work and we ask for your cooperation and understanding. This work will result in an improved street that will serve the area for many years.
