Town Council to Hold Study Session on ADUs
We want to hear from you! On Wednesday, July 11th, the Town Council will be holding a Study Session on potential policy changes that would encourage the creation of Accessory Dwelling Units (also known as Second Units).
The Town currently allows detached and attached second units to be built in many, but not all, residential areas in Portola Valley. Depending on the size of the property, different-sized second units can be built.
On May 5th, the Town held a meeting with residents to hear your ideas on how to allow for more and different kinds of second units. Staff will be bringing those suggestions to the Council on July 11th, as well as sharing best practices from other cities.
We look forward to you adding your voice to the conversation!
When: Wednesday, July 11th
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: The Historic Schoolhouse, 765 Portola Road, Portola Valley.
If you’re unable to attend the Town Council Study Session, please email your thoughts or ideas to Arly Cassidy, Interim Planning Director.
