PG&E Power Outage Oct 27 12:30 PM Updates about the power outage.

As of 8:00 PM Saturday October 26th PG&E shut down power to parts of Portola Valley for a Public Safety Power Shut Off due to extreme fire weather.

The shutoff is predicted to end on Monday, October 28th at around 8 AM, provided the extreme weather event is concluded  but power will not be restored until PG&E is able to conduct a visual inspection of the power lines. Power restoration can be anywhere from 36 hours up to 5 days. 

At this time there is no new information From PG&E.  The Town is monitoring the situation, and we expect to update you with new information as it becomes available.

  • Portola Valley School District keeps schools open on Monday.

  • Town Hall will be staffed during normal business hours. If you have questions, you can call (650) 851-1700 or come by Town Hall.

  • Station 19 Firehouse at  4091 Jefferson Ave. Redwood City will be open 8:00 am - 8pm on Sunday and 8:00 am - 5 pm on Monday if the power continues to be out. 

  • The  Community Resource Centers at La Honda Fire Station and Half Moon Bay Library have been shut down.

  • There additional community Resource centers set up at:

    • Pacifica- Sea Bowl 4625 Coast Hwy, Pacifica CA

    • San Mateo County – Event Center – 2490 S. Delaware, San Mateo 

  • Portola Valley Library will be open during daylight hours with limited services

  • Town Center will have a charging station for your devices starting 8 AM on Monday

If you have elderly neighbors or know anyone that need extra help please check in on them during the Power Shutoff to make sure they are provided for.
