The Town of Portola Valley is pleased to announce that crosswalk striping improvements will be completed this Saturday May 10 at two key intersections: Portola Road & Brookside Drive and Alpine Road & Golden Oak Drive. This work is part of ongoing safety enhancements to improve pedestrian visibility and roadway safety. 

Construction activities will begin no earlier than 10 AM and conclude no later than 4 PM. During the striping process, one side of the road may be temporarily closed, while the opposite side will remain open to traffic. Fast-drying thermostriping will be used to ensure the work is completed efficiently and with minimal disruption. Traffic control measures will be in place to ensure public safety. 

While Saturday construction is not ideal, it is necessary to complete the improvements ahead of the upcoming Horse Fair (May 17) and PV Palooza (May 31) events, ensuring safe and clearly marked crossings during periods of increased traffic.
