About the Instructor:

Bio PicAmy de Benedictis is a local dog trainer who specializes in basic obedience training and early puppy-raising for all family members and their dog(s). Amy believes strongly in the connection between humans and their pet dogs. Her philosophy of training is to educate your pup/dog so that they know what to do, while giving pet owners the skills to continue the dog's training. She feels it is more effective to tell your dog how to behave from the beginning, rather than saying "No!" all day long. Dogs need clear guidance and with the use of food lures they get the message clearly and in a fun and positive way.

Amy is married with two grown children and lives with a Border Terrier named Whisky and a big cat named Moochi. Amy lives in Menlo Park and is a member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers).
