About the Instructor...

For over fifteen years, Yvonne Tryce has provided hands-on experiences in science and nature for hundreds of local children in her classes at the Town Center. She is a graduate of Stanford University, having received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, and is a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist with laboratory work experience at Stanford Hospital and Menlo Medical Clinic.

Yvonne also was the Science Resource Teacher for the Los Altos School District and has served in a variety of capacities in the Portola Valley School District. She received her teaching credential from San Jose State University.

In her classes, she encourages her students to observe and explore the wonders of nature. The young children in Yvonne’s classes have fun while acquiring scientific concepts and developing process skills they will use in future science courses.
