Earth Day Art challenge

For the 50th anniversary of Earth Day the Town of Portola Valley presents an Earth Day Art Challenge. We are calling all artists of all ages to submit their art.

The theme for this project is Act on Climate.  It celebrates the theme for this year’s Earth Day theme. Reflect on how you can have a positive effect on the climate and create a piece of art that shows what you are doing or what you are going to do to help stop climate change.

We will accept all forms of art. Be creative. For example it can be a poster, a sculpture or collage made from found objects, a painting, a photo project, short film, a song you wrote, or a poem. We have no limits on how you want to be creative.

Send a picture of what you create or a picture of you holding what you create and we will post it on social media. (You can send more than one photo of your project)  We will take entries until the end of April.  After we receive all the submissions we will celebrate all of our Portola Valley artists with an online show. Please submit your photo with your name and if you are a student your age. Email submissions to kchinn@portolavalley.net.
