Committee Event Planning Guidelines
Prior to receiving a link for the committee event application, Committee chairs should complete and send an event proposal and submit to Town Staff. This event proposal will help streamline the application process and help staff allocate both Town resources and Town Staff time.
All proposed committee events should be agendized and approved by committee members. Once approved, the committee should complete the required event proposal 6 months in advance for events with a budget of over $500. Committee Events with a budget below $500; the event proposal should be completed as early as 6 months in advance.
Committee Chairs will submit the online application for their planned event no less than 4 months in advance of the scheduled event date for any event with a budget of over $500. If the event budget is under $500, the chair should complete the application no less than 3 months in advance.
For Town Committee events that selected publicity for their event, the chair is required to upload all publicity materials 6 weeks prior to event date.
