Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Solar Energy But Were Afraid to Ask
Find out the difference between solar thermal and solar electric (PV) and which application is best for your home. Details will be provided on the financial benefits of residential solar under the new Federal Stimulus plan. You will learn how to size a PV system for your home using a quick calculation method and your electric bill. Emphasis on understanding your current electric bill and your new electric bill with solar. A sample solar panel will be on hand, which may function depending on the amount of daylight!

Speaker Bio: Craig Rush
Craig Rush is a recovering Computer Hardware Product Marketing Manager and self-styled Gadgeteer. He volunteers his time with Grid Alternatives, a non-profit organization which advises homeowners on energy conservation and installs photovoltaic systems on residential homes in low-income neighborhoods. He is also a volunteer with Acterra’s Green@Home home energy audit program and a Master Composter with San Mateo County RecycleWorks. He is a member of the Northern California Energy Association and the Northern California Chapter of the American Solar Energy Society. Craig has been with Horizon Energy Systems, a Bay Area solar energy systems integrator, since 2006. He lives in a sun-filled Eichler home in Foster City with his wife and two sons.
